A leading accessibility solutions provider serving the New Jersey, New York Metro, Philadelphia and Boston areas, Living Free Home is experienced in providing quality stairlifts and ramps for commercial and residential settings. We recently installed an aluminum wheelchair ramp for a school building in New Jersey.
The client called us for a perfect solution to make their school building wheelchair accessible. According to the ADA rules, all classrooms must be wheelchair accessible with installation of an elevator in two-storey school buildings. Additionally, wheelchair ramps and handicapped parking are required for facilitating easy access to school buildings.
Our licensed technicians installed a commercial wheelchair ramp for this client. This above ground installation with a full 48″ wide ramp between the inner handrails meets all codes. Its outside dimension is 54″.
Features that provide further safety for users and meet commercial and ADA code requirements include:
- Continuous inner hand rails, 4” on center aluminum picket’s full length of ramp
- 5′ resting platform on long section of ramp for safe resting area, and under mount legs that allow for a decorative skirting to be put in place.
Our team of technicians custom design commercial ramps that will meet all necessary regulations and make sure that the client’s project will not face any last minute delays.
Feel free to contact Living Free Home for all of your commercial ramp design, building and installation requirement.
